MAIN ADVANTAGES of “Tuplex ®” • Ventilated subparquet space. The “Tuplex ®” underlay is specially designed for floors laid in a “floating” manner and is the only underlay that allows, through natural ventilation, to remove moisture that accidentally gets into the space under the parquet. • Sounds of footsteps. The sound of footsteps is what you hear when people walk around a room. The Tuplex ® underlay was specially designed to effectively dampen the natural sound of heels and eliminate the “popping” effect. It is ideal for home or office spaces where the clicking sound of heels can be annoying. Tuplex ® underlay has excellent sound insulation. Compared to other materials of the same thickness, it has the highest performance and meets the most stringent standards. • Protection from moisture. The Tuplex ® backing creates a double level of protection against moisture penetration. The film, which covers the substrate on both sides, is produced with the addition of special additives that provide maximum protection from moisture and durability. • Heating floor. Tuplex ® underlay is excellent for use in rooms with heated floors. In all necessary indicators it corresponds to the European level. • Leveling substrate. Thanks to its elasticity, Tuplex ® underlay helps hide minor unevenness in the substrate and creates a perfectly smooth surface for laying hard flooring. This is the easiest way to remove minor roughness from the base of the floor covering. • Resistance to deformation. The “Tuplex ®” substrate perfectly retains its shape and does not change its physical properties over time. During tests under a load of 600 kg/m2 for 7 days, the deformation of “Tuplex ®” amounted to 6.9% of the thickness of the substrate. For comparison, the deformation of polyethylene foam, which is usually used as a substrate, is 76.2% of the thickness. • Laying speed. Tuplex ® underlay lays flat, simplifying initial installation and facilitating jointing of seams using a specially designed overlapping method. Ease of installation saves time, which means there is less work and it will be completed faster. Instructions for use The base must be level. The base on which the Tuplex will be laid must be dry and clean. Remember - Tuplex should be laid with the colored side down and the white side up. Lay the TUPLEX underlay so that the edges touch each other tightly. The upper edge of the backing is overlapped and not secured with tape. Cover the entire surface of the base, while extending it onto the walls around the perimeter of the room by about 4 cm. Having completed laying the flooring, before installing the baseboard, carefully cut off the protruding edges of the underlay to the height of the parquet board or laminate.
